Beginning

In 2022, Green River Weather began as Dragon Weather Authority, who aimed to serve the community with localized weather forecasts.

2023

Merging

In 2023, Dragon Weather Authority merged with Green County High School's Media Production Club, Dragon Eye Media, to air the weather every weekday on their show, Good Morning Dragons.

2024

Severe Weather Updates & 24/7 Weather

In 2024, Dragon Weather Authority began airing severe weather updates and their 24/7 Weather Channel on the Dragon Eye Media YouTube Channel. DWA Carried over to Dragon Eye Media's Morning Program, Dragon Country Report.

2025

Rebranding

In 2025, The original Dragon Weather Authority page became Green River Weather, to begin distancing from being a school run program. Catch Weather Anchor Broden Woodruff on Dragon Country Report every Friday at 7:30 AM.

Who am I?

Broden Woodruff

Founder

Broden Woodruff is a Student Journalist, Broadcaster, and Future Meteorologist from South-Central Kentucky. He is currently a junior in high school, where he leads the Student Media Production Club at Green County High School. On the side, he helps his local radio station, KCountry 1057 with audio mixing for local sports game, gaining experience with radio production. He plans on attending Western Kentucky University in the fall of 2026 to Major in Meteorology and Minor in Broadcasting.
