Ways to help those impacted by the recent severe weather:

On Friday, May 16th, an EF4 tornado touched down in Russell County, tracking through Pulaski County and Somerset, and lifting shortly after making its way through London and Laurel County. The tornado unfortunately ended the lived of 19 people, and leaving devastating damage.
How Can I Help?
Team Kentucky Storm Relief Fund:
The Team Kentucky Storm Relief Fund is an official government fund from the state of the government which aims to help those impacted by any severe weather in 2025. All donations to the Team Kentucky Storm Relief Fund are tax-deductible, and donors will receive a receipt for tax purposes after donating.
Yall Squad:
The Y'all Squad is a non-profit organization who provides immediate relief and support to those impacted by recent natural disasters. According to their website, the non-profit organization aims "to be some of the first people on the scene after a tornado, hurricane, or other weather event that says 'what can we do to help?'."
Laurel County Sheriff Office:
The Laurel County Sheriff Office is seeking supplies to hand out to those impacted by the storm. Supplies can range from blankets to food and snacks to tarps. They are requesting items be dropped off at the Laurel County Sheriff Office at 203 S Broad St # 1, London, KY 40741.
LAUREL CO SCHOOLS FRYSC:
The Laurel County Schools Family Resource and Youth Service Centers are seeking supplies for students impacted by the storm. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Laurel County School District.
The Red Cross:
The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization dedicated to preventing and alleviating human suffering in the United States and around the world. It focuses on disaster relief, blood services, disaster preparedness, and international aid.
